The Shallow Pool of Online religious dating
In a city like New York with 8 million people, why is church of christ dating akin to living in
a small isolated fishing village on the outskirt of Alaska? I was on the phone last night with my best friend in the
world, someone who I share every intimate detail of my life with; every bad date story, every indiscretion, and every
pair of jeans that we both fit into. Relaying the details of religious singles. Realizing that church girls was
once someone dumped. I scoured the back of my mind, recalling a date I had many fall bags ago with an online suitor
with the same screen name. It was one date which I had surely shared with my Christ church singles. Fortunately for me, the
date ended at the bar when we went our separate ways, back into the shallow dating pool of Manhattan on a cold fall night.
Many people sing the praises of online dating websites, creating an environment much like shopping where you can see the merchandise,
packaging details and calorie contents all from the comforts of home and order up a date to be delivered. In a world where cell
phones and email keep us afloat in our busy lives online matchmaking is now an acceptable, time conscious, stigma free
way to meet people. But in all honesty, the longer you are out there the higher the percentage is that you will inevitably
overlap with your other single friends. This incestuous dating once only something that happened in backwater towns of is
now insidiously plaguing singles online. How many of our friends have we unknowingly slept with through the internet? I have
been on and off the dating websites. For the last four years or so, I have created numerous dating profiles, tried even
blind dates all in quest to never go back on another dating website. Granted, going on many first and final dates may prove
helpful for other single friends since the dating information superhighway always has a few road wary travelers. I have a
nameless friend, with a lot of free time and a desire to eat for free every night. She has taken to using the dating websites
like a menu.
